  • Why does the website say there is a waiting list or fully subscribed?
At Fierce, we believe in quality training in a safe, comfortable environment. As well as ensuring our members have fair access to the sessions they pay for, we deliberately cap our Junior and Adult class numbers to ensure everyone receives the appropriate level of coaching and space to safely learn Muay Thai. From time-to-time with fluctuation in members, this may result in waiting lists for our Junior classes, (which you can request to be added to from the link on our Homepage), and/or Adult membership plans showing as fully subscribed. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but we hope you understand, and we thank you for your patience.
  • How do I book classes?
ADULTS: Once you have signed up to a membership plan (via direct debit), you will be granted access to our Members Area where you can book all your sessions, either online or via our Wix App. Please note: If your Bank supports Instant Bank Pay, access can be granted the same day, but if not, it can take up to 5 days for the first payment to be taken, therefore, booking cycles are started from the date of your direct debit which will be confirmed in our Welcome email. You can book a session up to 7 days in advance. JUNIORS: These are based on your child(ren) being allocated a specified day and time of a weekly class, so there is no requirement to book each week, monthly payment secures the spot.
  • What happens if I pay for a plan and don't use all my sessions?
ADULTS: Unfortunately we are not able to carry over unused sessions to the following month, so we advise that you make an informed decision based on our timetable and your own commitments as to what membership to select. You can increase/decrease or top-up your plan over time if your situation changes, we just require sufficient notice to amend any direct debit in line with banking timescales. JUNIORS: Our pricing structure is calculated over the full year as we only break for certain religious/bank holidays and therefore, we cannot offer reductions or refunds for non-attendance.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
ADULT Classes: It is important that you only book sessions that you can attend, and avoid "no shows" or last minute cancellations. We will monitor this closely so the approach is fair to all. ADULT Direct debit: If you wish to change / cancel your membership you must notify fiercemuaythai@gmail.com with 30 days notice. Fierce Muay Thai Ltd reserves the right to cancel the agreement without notice. JUNIORS: If you no longer wish your child(ren) to participate then you just need to advise us in advance and cancel your standing order payment.
  • What equipment do I need?
ADULTS: To start, all you need is a pair of gloves, we recommend 10-12oz boxing gloves for padwork. If you later progress to sparring and dutch drills in classes, you will need shinguards, mouthguard, groin guard (men), 16oz gloves. JUNIORS: To start, your child(ren) will need a pair of gloves, we recommend 6-8oz boxing gloves.
  • Do you offer free tasters or pay as you go options?
ADULTS: At this time we are not offering 'freebies' or pay as you go sessions. We believe that learning Muay Thai is a commitment and those individuals that choose to pursue it, should do so because they have a passion to try something new, and even suck at it at first! It takes years to be competent in this skill and our Fierce Family are ready to give you the attention and environment to learn. Our memberships start at £35 for 5 classes per month, so we believe that if you're not able to commit at least 1 hour a week to training you're probably not really interested in progressing in Muay Thai. JUNIORS: The first class is free to try, but MUST be booked in advance, and we currently have a waiting list for new starters. Once you have secured a place, memberships are on a rolling monthly basis with payment due in advance.
  • I am a total beginner can I join?
Our classes cater to all abilities, so all you need is a pair of gloves and a want to learn! We also offer a weekly Fundamentals class designed to work on building a strong foundation for your Muay Thai journey. Some more advanced training, such as sparring sessions, are reserved for members that show the necessary level of ability to attend.
  • Do I have to commit to an annual membership?
ADULTS: NO, if you wish to change / cancel your membership you must notify fiercemuaythai@gmail.com with 30 days notice. Fierce Muay Thai Ltd reserves the right to cancel the agreement without notice. In addition to the monthly membership fee, all members shall pay an annual non-refundable membership fee of £30. This is for your Member to Member Muay Thai Insurance covering all partner pad work, clinching, sparring and interclubs/fights. By default, members will be billed by direct debit, one month from the Effective Date of joining, and on the anniversary of that date each year. It will be billed annually, whether or not you are actively using your membership, unless you have given sufficient notice or your direct debit is cancelled. JUNIORS: NO, however, the regular monthly fees are due on the 1st of every month, and are calculated based on Fierce MT running a minimum of 48 weeks per year. In order to retain your childs place in class, the monthly fees are expected on time. In addition to the monthly membership fee, all members shall pay an annual non-refundable membership fee of £25. This is for your Member to Member Muay Thai Insurance covering all partner pad work, clinching, sparring and interclubs/fights, and includes a Club T-Shirt.
